I'm going to Columbus, Ohio for the builder show. Very exciting. Every year I say, "I guess I wont make it this year." But every year when the event draws near I end up in conversations with friends and colleagues that go something like this.
"Are you going to the builder show?"
"Oh I doubt it. Where's it at this year?"
"It's in Columbus"
"Ya might as well. Nothing else going on except snow."
And so begins the mad scramble to find rooms still available and try to finagle a free ticket from the higher-ups.
We'll spend most of our time walking around the trade floor trying to get close enough to the exhibits to get the free stuff and not so close that the salesperson (no political correctness intended) can attack us. Rule #1 for anybody venturing close to the exhibits: Guard your bar code with your life. Do not, no matter how much they beg or plead or threaten, let them scan you.
